I'm so sorry for the delay. Life is a little crazy as you know but the posts in English will not stop.
For you that haven't managed to read "Persuasion" yet, here comes my impressions of the movie, which has the same title. Hope you like it and watch it!
The movie
“Persuasion” of 2007 by BBC is based on the book and is very loyal to the
original story. Sally
Hawkins is Anne Elliot and Rupert Penry-Jones is Wentworth. They played their
characters very well and showed the same feelings the original characters of
the book expressed. The only different part is at the end of the movie. Anne
reconciled with Wentworth not only after reading his letter and having a
conversation with him. In the movie (Sally Hawkins) Anne really runs searching
for (Rupert Penry-Jones) Wentworth. Their reconciliation is sealed with a kiss
and Anne’s happiness is seen very clearly.
In
my opinion the movie’s ending gives to the story a more dramatic and romantic
effect, however, the book is worth reading. It’s a very beautiful story. I dare
say it’s one of Jane Austen’s best novels. She mixes Romantism with Realism and
physiological descriptions. She is undoubtedly, one of the best writers ever.
Everyone should read her novels. According to Jane Austen herself, “the person,
be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be
intolerably stupid.”
Watch the movie here:

Tamiris, you told about the end! hahahahaha
ResponderExcluirJane is a great writer. I love her novels, but I have a lot of hard work to do about it yet.
