The Watsons and Sanditon in Portuguese

Hey, I'm back and super happy!

The great news is that yesterday I was present at the release of Jane Austen's "The Watsons" and "Sanditon" in PORTUGUESE!

These two  are unfinished novels and display a variety of different literary styles. The Watsons is a fragment in which the heroine Emma Watson has to deal with finacial and family problems and the fact that her sisters and herself are still unmarried.

Sanditon is full of irony and speculation. It is set in a  newly stablished seaside resort and shows the contemplation of a changing society. The story has many characters and we see the author's desire to continue writting despite her limitations in that moment of her life.

So if your English is not that good yet or if you prefer reading in Portuguese, it's your new great opportunity.

Ivo Barroso translated the novels and it was presented by Raquel Sallaberry. They were both very kind and attentive to all of us who were eager to speak to them and get their autographs.
